Melania Trump, the wife of Donald Trump, has said she never had a personal relationship or friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of trafficking underage girls for the purpose of sexual assault. She said she and her husband met at a party in New York City in 1998, two years before they met Epstein at another party Trump attended.
Melania Trump has denied the recent social media reports that Epstein was the one who introduced her to Donald Trump. She said she never had sex with Epstein and was not aware of any crimes Epstein was committing.
"The lies linking me to Jeffrey Epstein must stop now. I am not one of Epstein's victims," she said, according to Reuters, as Melania Trump read a statement denying that reporters were asking her questions.
Melania has denied ever being on Epstein's plane or visiting his private island where he allegedly trafficked the girls. The woman said she was not a witness in the case and her name has never appeared in any court filings, FBI investigations or any other legal process.
On April 2, 2026, Trump fired former Attorney General Pam Bondi, one of the reasons for her failure to release the Epstein indictment. Trump, who had been close friends with Epstein, said their relationship ended in the 2000s.
His name, along with that of other celebrities, leaders, politicians and artists, appears in the Epstein dossier. Many deny any involvement in the man's crimes.
