MINAGRI n'abafatanyabikorwa bahuriye i Kigali mu nama yo kuvugurura gahunda z'ibiribwa, hagamijwe kurwanya imirire mibi no kubona ubuzima bwiza ku babyeyi n'abana. Nubwo u Rwanda rumaze gutera intambwe, imirire mibi iracyari ikibazo, cyane cyane ku bana bari munsi y'imyaka itanu n'abagore batwite. Rwanda's Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI) and UNICEF Rwanda are hosting a high-level meeting to accelerate food systems transformation and address malnutrition. The event brings together leaders from government, international organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss strategies for improving nutrition, particularly for children under five and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Rwanda has made progress in reducing poverty and improving health outcomes, but malnutrition remains a significant challenge. In 2020, stunting affected 33% of children under five, down from 38% in 2015. The government aims to reduce stunting to 15% in the next five years.
