TikTok says the new company will operate as an independent entity, led by a seven-person board of directors, most of whom are Americans.

They include Adam Presser, who previously worked at WarnerMedia, who has been named CEO of the new company.

There are three investors who each own 15% of TikTok's US operations: Oracle, Silver Lake, and MGX.

Even Oracle, a major technology company, is led by Larry Ellison, who is known to be a strong supporter of the Republican Party and a friend of Trump.

Silver Lake is an American technology investment firm that claims to manage $116 billion in assets, while MGX is a United Arab Emirates-based investor in technology and artificial intelligence.

Oracle will be responsible for protecting the data of TikTok users in the United States as well as overseeing and revising the algorithm.

ByteDance will retain a 19.9% stake in the company.

The remaining 35.1% of the shares are held by a group of companies that includes the family of Michael Dell, a technology leader known to support Trump, and Vastmere Strategic Investments, which is affiliated with Susquehanna International Group.

Susquehanna was founded by one of Trump's friends, Jeff Yass, who owned about 7% of ByteDance last year.

Its CEO Mark Dooley will also be a member of the company's board of directors, including TikTok's global CEO, Shou Zi Chew, as well as representatives from Oracle, Silver Lake, and MGX.

The algorithm issue is what caused the controversy surrounding TikTok's operations in the United States, as it is what made TikTok more popular than other social media platforms.
