President Paul Kagame has removed and replaced various leaders in various ministries in Rwanda
Following the changes that took place in the Government on the night of June 10, 2026, the replaced leaders thanked the President of the Republic Paul Kagame. They thanked him for the opportunity he gave them to serve the Rwandan people, for the advice and support he showed them throughout their time in office.
Among those who thanked the Head of State was Amb. Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye. He was replaced by Eng. Armand Zingiro as Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, MININFRA.
Also present was Amb. Nkulikiyinka Christine, who was the Minister of Public Service and Labour, MIFOTRA. She was replaced by Uwiyeze Judith.
There was also Sebahizi Prudence, who was the Minister of Trade and Industry, MINICOM. He was replaced by Minister Kajangwe Antoine Marie.
Sebahizi said: βI am deeply grateful to President Paul Kagame for the two years I have served Minicom. I am grateful for the trust he has placed in me to serve the country as the Minister of Trade and Industry for the past two years. I have been very pleased to work with my colleagues in the Cabinet and the MINICOM team in developing industry, enhancing the role of the private sector, promoting technology-based trade and strengthening regional cooperation. Good luck to Kajangwe on your new assignment.β
Amb. Nkulikiyinka Christine, who was appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the Kingdom of Spain, expressed that she gained knowledge during her time in the Government. She said it was valuable to work with her colleagues under the visionary leadership of President Kagame.
He continued: βIt was a wonderful journey that taught me a lot. I am very grateful to His Excellency President Paul Kagame for the continued trust he has placed in me to continue contributing to the development of our beloved Rwanda. I am proud to embark on another new phase of my responsibilities, and I will do my best to fulfill it successfully.β
Amb. Uwihangane Jean de Dieu, who was replaced by Eng. Armand Zingiro, also expressed his satisfaction with the advice and cooperation he received during his tenure. He hopes to continue collaborating with others in the journey to build Rwanda.
He said: βMr. President, I thank you for the opportunity to work, for your advice and for supporting me on this journey. I also thank my colleagues at Mininfra for their dedication and teamwork. I will continue to contribute to building the country and I wish the new leaders good luck in their new roles.β
These changes in government demonstrate that Rwanda continues to invest in improving governance and providing new leaders with opportunities to contribute to the country's development.
