Ugandan singer Moses Ssali, known in the music industry as Bebe Cool, has accused Miss Mutesi Jolly, who was crowned Miss Rwanda in 2016, of defrauding him of money. She used the name of Rwanda and the Arsenal football team.
It is a message that Bebe Cool posted on the X website. He also shared it with Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Ugandan Army Chief of Staff Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and the English football club Arsenal.
Bebe Cool did not disclose the amount of money he was paid. He said: “This woman Mutesi Jolly lives in England and always watches Arsenal football. Last year she cheated me on behalf of Rwanda and Arsenal, and now she has another big plan. The whole story is about to come out.”
Mutesi Jolly immediately responded to the message. He told him that he had confused him and that next time he should do some research before publishing what he said. He said: “Hi Bebe Cool! I am sorry that you were confused by someone who claimed to be me. Next time, use your common sense and check the information before accusing people in public.”
Mutesi Jolly said that there was a person who called himself AKANSASIRA Mutesi JOLLY. It is believed that he was involved in the kidnapping of Bebe Cool. The person allegedly promised people that he could help them get a job and settle in the UK as a normal person.
In the message Mutesi Jolly posted, there is a person named Palide David who is a songwriter living in Uganda. He also says that he was warned by someone who called himself Mutesi Jolly. In 2019, the person had told him that he would help him move to Europe.
However, Bebe Cool was not satisfied and instead began to show what he called signs. He said: “Mutesi Jolly, is this number not yours? I am doing this for the good of the Republic of Rwanda and the President who has done so much to reflect the country’s image. I have more for you than you think.”
He continued: "To make you believe, I know many other people you have done these things to. The only good thing is that you and your friend met face to face with one of those you warned us about. And I know that it was you who warned me."
"So you're standing there because you think that since I have a wife, I can't say that we talk to each other. I talked to you, my wife knows full well that what we talked about was about my son's football career." Bebe Cool said he is still gathering evidence and is putting it all out there.
