The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that several US military aircraft crashed on the morning of March 2, 2026, and all those on board survived. The ministry's spokesman, Col Said Al-Atwan, said that immediately after the crash, the authorities launched rescue operations, removing the passengers from the crash site and taking them to hospital, and that they do not appear to have any serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, but the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said it was working with the United States to determine the cause. The Kuwaiti government says accurate information should be provided by the competent authorities.
Kuwait is one of the Middle Eastern countries targeted by Iran, which claims to host US military bases; the country has been attacking it in conjunction with Israel since February 28, 2026.
Iran and Israel are locked in a war with the United States, and since the war began, it has been announced that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) announced that since Saturday morning they have intercepted more than 1,500 missiles and drones fired by Iran.
