Lil Wayne, 44, made the remarks in a 10-second video he posted on social media, as he congratulated his former Hot Boys bandmate, BG, after announcing that he too had engaged to his girlfriend Brooke Jones.

This comes after Lil Wayne denied reports in July 2026 that he was engaged to a girl. On July 5, he went live on Instagram and said, "No, I'm not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person but I didn't want to be a burden on her," confirming that they had broken up.
At the time, the reason for the breakup was health issues, as he had missed his "20 Years of Carter Classics" tour in Bangor due to migraines and a seizure disorder that prevented him from flying. Now, they have reconciled very quickly.
