Irakoze Angelo, a 20-year-old first-year student at IPRC-Tumba College, and Ingabire Samantha, 19, were found dead in the same house where the girl had gone to visit the boy. RIB spokesperson Dr. Murangira B Thierry said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the death.
Initial investigations indicate that Irakoze Angelo is suspected of killing Ingabire Samanta and then committing suicide. The motive for this act is still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. Dr. Murangira B Thierry said: “RIB requests the public, especially social media users, to refrain from spreading unverified or unsubstantiated information about the cause of this death, as it may hinder the ongoing investigation.”
The management of IPRC-Tumba University in Rulindo District, says it is saddened by the sudden death of a first-year student. Their deaths were announced on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and it is believed that both of them died on Monday, March 23, 2026.
